BJP president Nitin Gadkari on Thursday said the BJP hasn't considered the possibility of bringing a no-confidence motion against the government in Lok Sabha until now.

Announcing it without consultation amounted to being a “betrayal” of this commitment, Gadkari added.
When asked if Advani's line necessarily constituted the BJP's viewpoint, he said Advani was a leader of the BJP and very much his senior.
Advani wasn't present at any road protest because the party — at times — prefers to keep a veteran leader like him away from such events, he added.
Complimenting NDA convenor Sharad Yadav for appealing to all parties to oppose the government in the ongoing “fight for the poor”, Gadkari said it was the need of the hour for every political party to come out against the “anti-people measure”.
“All those who come are welcome. If they have reservations about sharing the same platform with us, we'll stand behind and they can be in front.
But the struggle will continue till the price hikes and FDI decision are taken back, whether anyone joins us or not.”
Gadkari said the government had gone ahead with the retail FDI plan to divert attention from the coal scam. He hoped the “success” of the protests would force the government to roll back the decisions.
