Close shave for 22 passengers as mob sets Dhaka-Agartala bus on fire

New Delhi: In a close shave for 22 passengers on the Dhaka-Agartala route, a mob sets a bus on fire in Narsingdhi in central Bangladesh.
Reports said that there were 22 passengers on the bus travelling between India and Bangladesh and all of them were unharmed and sent to their respective destinations.
Sources say the bus was set on fire following a fight between two Awami League factions.
Indian government has asked for punishment for the guilty but doesn’t see it as an attack on an Indian asset.
Meanwhile, the bus service has been temporarily suspended. "The Agartala-Dhaka bus service has been suspended temporarily following Friday's incident. The service is expected to resume after an inquiry into the incident and other necessary formalities," a Tripura transport department official said.
