Former Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya has admitted the fact that the land acquisition policy of Left Front government had created doubts among the people of the state which his government was not able to clear. He also admitted the fact that if the Left front government had looked into the interest of people, especially the poor, the problem would not have cropped up.
Bhattacharya said that though the Left Front had achieved a lot during its 34 years in power, remaining in power for so many years had affected the Front.
Bhattacharya also said that the behavior and life style of a section of party functionaries for which “some people got alienated from CPM and LF government at large.”
