10% Reservation for women in Kolkata Police – Partha

In a press meet from Writers State Industry Minister Partha Chatterjee has announced state government’s decision to keep 10% reservation for women officers in Kolkata Police. He further mentioned that similar steps can be taken for West Bengal Police also which is under the discretionary of Chief Minister and if Bengal police make a similar request then government will think over it. He said that it is their government under Mamata Banerjee’s leadership that has introduced Women police stations in the state to look after all women related issues only and this decision of 10% reservation is the next step in this regard.
