New Delhi: If reports are to be believed, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is considering merging with the Congress if the latter offers them a concrete solution on the Telangana issue.
The Congress has reportedly called an all-party meet to discuss the separate statehood demand of the Telangana activists.
TRS sources say that there is a decided likelihood that the Congress will come out with a solution, possibly leading to a merger between the two parties after the formation of the separate state.
TRS chief K Chadrashekar Rao has been campaigning in the national capital for the past week for a solution to the Telangana activists' separate statehood demand and sources say that concrete steps are expected before September 30.
Meanwhile, Congress President Sonia Gandhi discussed the subject with senior leaders of her party on Monday evening.
