Another incident of gang rape knocks down the state’s security

This time it’s Durgapur. A woman accompanied by her husband was on her way from Asansol towards Durgapur where they were attacked by a gang of awful men. The beat her husband brutally and then took her to a nearby bushes where she was badly raped by all of them.

The incident took place around 2 am at night near City Centre Durgapur. According to the Mayor, Durgapur Municipal Corporation this is indeed a shameful incident setting a bad example in terms of the safety and security of the city as well as state. Police has to remain more alert especially during the night hours.

Such an occurrence raises questions in the minds of the local people regarding the well being of women outside their homes.
